It is a laid-back place of mango and palm nurseries, fishing villages and canal homes, and a water slide is a big treat for island kids who otherwise have to drive off-island for most entertainment. Delivery to Pine Island from about $75 — exact fee calculated from your address at checkout. Phillips Park (https://www.leegov.com/parks/parks/phillips) in Bokeelia, home of the Pine Island Community Pool, and the island's churches host community events. Most slide setups here are at homes with room in the yard. Matlacha Park at 4577 Pine Island Rd is open and in good shape — first-come waterfront pavilions plus a playground pavilion and a kayak pavilion, and a community centre rentable at $40 an hour, $20 for nonprofits, with a one-day general liability certificate required. Vargas Rentals carries liability insurance. Their rules prohibit candles, sterno and fog machines in the buildings, and alcohol anywhere on the park grounds and parking lots, not just indoors. The Matlacha Community Center and Pine Island Art Building reopened in early 2026 after FEMA-funded restoration. ## Yard space and setup in Pine Island Island yards vary: canal lots with seawalls in St. James City, larger nursery and rural lots in the middle of the island, and shell or sandy ground in places. Keep the slide back from seawalls, pick level grass or firm sand, and send photos if the area is shell or gravel. Canal systems run through Bokeelia and St. James City and stilt homes are common enough that local realtors list them as their own category. Sandy and shell soil near the water means sandbag or water-barrel anchoring rather than stakes. Canal lots often have limited flat yard between the house and the seawall — measure before you book. Our team sets up every rental, anchors it correctly for the surface, and returns for pickup at the end of your rental period. ## Heat, sun and water tips for Pine Island Island sun is strong, with a breeze that helps but can turn gusty. Start early, set up shade and keep the slide wet. Inflatables cannot run in strong, gusting wind. Pine Island homes use island utility water or wells. Use a drinking-water spigot at moderate flow and keep runoff away from seawalls and septic systems. ## Permits, HOAs and host rules Pine Island is unincorporated Lee County. Private home parties generally do not need a special permit for a rental slide. Some canal communities have deed restrictions; check them first. - Phillips Park: https://www.leegov.com/parks/parks/phillips - Matlacha Park and Community Center (Lee County): https://www.leegov.com/parks/parks/matlacha - Lee County Parks & Recreation: https://www.leegov.com/parks ## Delivery to Pine Island Free delivery within 5 miles of our Lehigh Acres shop · $2/mile after. Delivery windows are confirmed the day before your event. The Matlacha Pass Bridge is a drawbridge that opens for boat traffic, so a delivery window can slip through no fault of anyone's. There is one road on and off the island. If your home is elevated on stilts, confirm you have usable ground-level space, because a 30-foot slide cannot go on a raised deck. ## Choosing the right slide for your Pine Island yard We currently rent 12 water slides, from the 17' Baja Blast Single Lane up to the 31' CAT 5 Single Lane w/ Slip n Slide Attachment. Single-lane slides (17' Baja Blast Single Lane, 22' CAT 3 Single Lane, 31' CAT 5 Single Lane w/ Slip n Slide Attachment) fit tighter Pine Island yards and younger riders. Dual-lane slides let two kids race side by side and keep the line moving at bigger parties. Slides with a slip n slide attachment (24' Jawsome Dual Lane w/ Slip n Slide Attachment, 26' Lava Falls Dual Lane w/ Slip n Slide Attachment, 31' CAT 5 Single Lane w/ Slip n Slide Attachment) need the most open length, so measure carefully before you choose one. The height in each slide's name is a good first guide: taller slides need more open ground and clear overhead space, and they suit older kids. Each product page lists the full dimensions — compare them against your measured grass, leaving a few feet on every side for the crew to work and for guests to walk around. ## How a Pine Island water slide rental works Choose your slide and check your date online. When you reserve, a deposit holds the slide and the remaining balance is due at or before delivery. The day before your party we confirm your delivery window. On the day, our crew arrives at your Pine Island address, walks the setup spot with you, lays down a ground tarp, inflates and anchors the slide, and connects the water. We show an adult how to run the hose and the blower and go over the rider rules. After the party, we deflate, clean up and haul everything away. Keep an adult watching the slide the whole time it is in use, and clear it right away for lightning or strong wind. Not sure a slide is the right fit?
